Kate and Ricky met on On an offshore overnight fishing trip. It was love. They went on so many adventures that this was to be the most epic of all. When I first met Kate and Ricky they described the importance of their wedding feeling relaxed, beachy, and fun. They had a close attachment to South Seas Island Resort due to the organic raw nature of the landscape. Being that it was my favorite venue for those very same reasons, we seemed to be a great fit.
We designed the most beautiful Florida wedding for them while trying to infuse all the sandy tones that were all over Kates's Pinterest page despite our wedding being on the grassy lawn Of Kings Crown. Then hurricane Ian hit. It wiped out the entire Island. We had 30 days to reimagine, redesign and regroup.
With our home in such disarray and destruction, Kate and Ricky took it upon themselves to fly in and look for backup options. That following weekend they discovered Pierres on Lido Key. A sandy beach that met the ocean. It was perfect. We moved the entire wedding and gathered all the vendors together and the rest was history.
